Welcome to the learningviolin.com community. This new site is a social networking community and blog for string players, students, and string instrument enthusiasts. It is all my passions put into one, music, storytelling of all kinds, web design, coding, and even some illustrations here and there from time to time.
If all goes well (meaning lots of people subscribe, wink wink), this will become my stay at home mom job, a goal I have been working towards (slowly but passionately) for the last 5 years.
If you are a string teacher, you can sign up, and your profile will be automatically in the database for prospective students all over the world. And if you are a student you can search for a teacher in your area using the Find a Teacher search engine.
When the inventor of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners Lee, was asked earlier this year what he thought would be the next thing for the internet, he said: “Build alternative social networks. Networks where constructive activities prosper.”
It is indeed my hope that my site will be a place where constructive activities are valued and enjoyed, and that it will be a space for peace, learning, sharing, wonder, and fun!
Please share with your music and string loving friends, and I will be eternally grateful 🙂
So ready to rock this!
